Research by CBS shows: 12.000 international knowledge workers present in the Southeast Netherlands
Up until now, the number of international knowledge workers in the Netherlands could only be roughly estimated or determined with assumptions. Today, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) in the Netherlands shows their research results by order of Brainport Development. This shows that the Southeast of the Netherlands is home to 12.000 international knowledge workers.
Triple Helix Collaboration
One of the important assets of the Brainport Southeast Netherlands region is collaboration in the so called Triple Helix structure. This means a strong and active collaboration between companies and industry, knowledge and education institutes and local and regional governments.
Brainport International Community is one of the leading programmes of Brainport Development when it comes down to using this Triple Helix structure by continuously linking the needs of all triple helix organizations. A good networking function and knowing what keeps the region going is crucial and one of the important roles of Brainport International Community when it comes down to all aspects of international recruitment, labor, education, worldwide networks, ideas and connections.
One of the things we are currently doing is researching on extensive worldwide international contacts and connections of all triple helix organizations in the Southeast Netherlands, mainly regarding collaboration on people, talents, research and knowledge. We expect this research to be finalized by the end of August and will surely present the results to all triple helix organizations in the region.
